The Enterprise Training Programme

The Enterprise Training Programme is aimed at upskilling the owners and operators of small and medium-sized enterprises to help them develop and grow their businesses.

The New Zealand Trade and Enterprise (NZTE) Enterprise Training Programme is delivered by specialist training providers throughout New Zealand.  It offers a range of training for managing a business, complemented by follow-up coaching designed to enable you to implement what you have learnt.  Enterprise Training is fully funded by NZ Trade & Enterprise and is managed locally by the CDC.

Some 15,000 businesspeople attended Enterprise Training workshops, seminars or courses in the past 12 months and took advantage of the benefits of participating in the programme.  These include gaining knowledge in a specific area, increasing motivation, boosting confidence and reaffirming business strategies and processes.

Each year approximately 180 workshops are run throughout Canterbury, from Kaikoura to Waimate.  Workshops are three hours in duration and on average 15 people participate.

The BIZ Portal website is supported by a freephone, 0800 424 946, which links callers to trained business advisors.  This site replaces and expands the BIZinfo website and is managed by New Zealand Trade & Enterprise.
