Tenderlink opens up opportunities for Canterbury businesses
Canterbury Development Corporation is urging more Canterbury businesses to put their hands up to offer goods and services for the Rugby World Cup 2011.
In association with regional partners, New Zealand Trade and Enterprise recently established a website to make procurement opportunities related to RWC 2011 easily accessible to New Zealand businesses. Business opportunities around event supply and infrastructure are listed on : https://www.tenderlink.com/businessopportunities2011 and businesses can link through to the site direct or via: www.nz2011.govt.nz.
Christchurch contact for Tenderlink, CDC Industry Development Project Support Samantha Sii says of the 208 organisations registered to receive tendering information, only two are from Christchurch.
“This is a great chance for Christchurch and Canterbury businesses to get involved, either with Christchurch-based or national opportunities. This new tender site allows businesses around the country to register their interest – and we’d love to see more local names on that list!” Ms Sii says.
Businesses interested in tendering for commercial opportunities around RWC 2011 can register their business details on the site now. As a regional partner involved in delivering the tournament (and supporting activity) Canterbury Development Corporation can assist in loading tenders on the site, which features opportunities ranging from signage to hospitality and promotional events for the national festival.
Registration is free to prospective suppliers, with a small charge to organisations loading tenders on the site.
Once suppliers are registered on the site, they will be sent automatic notification when new tenders are loaded (which can be aligned to their profiles). Other advantages of the site for businesses and organisations seeking suppliers include automatic evaluation of supplier bids against established criteria, easy attachment of electronic documentation, the ability to set up preferred supplier lists and to run closed tenders (requests for proposals) where appropriate.
Any queries about Tenderlink can be addressed to Samantha Sii, Canterbury Development Corporation, telephone 03 353 6955, email samantha.sii@cdc.org.nz.
