Purpose

Our purpose is to develop and promote a better understanding of local labour market issues through providing robust regional labour information. Using this information, innovative interventions that contribute to strong job growth in Canterbury can be designed and implemented.

The information and services we provide aim to: 
Provide an accurate understanding of the labour market supply and demand issues in Canterbury
Provide support for the design of effective strategies that fill identified gaps and skills shortages in the local labour market

We wish to engage with projects that:
Describe or are based on research of regional labour market dynamics
Are initiatives that require facilitation based on robust labour market information
Focus on regional workforce development issues in innovative and original ways
Address needs that are currently not being met by other initiatives
Bring together organisations to build new relationships and strengthen relationships that already exist
