Youthworks

Youthworks is an employment initiative set up by the Canterbury Development Corporation to provide specialised and intensive support to youth at risk.  

There are three interrelated services currently under the Youthworks umbrella:  

• The Youth at Risk Project helps clients become job ready and assists them into sustainable employment.  
• The Alternative Education Project provides Alternative Education Programme students with labour market information, career advice and one to one support.  
• The Early School Leaver Project assists students who receive or wish to apply for exemptions to make smooth transitions into training or work.
